Aloha
GREAT you've at least stopped to look at our home in Hawaii. First let me tell you our home is located in a very remote area, Called Kapoho. Kapoho is well known for its Wai Opea marine Wildlife Sanctuary. Or as we call it, "The Kapoho Tidepools". Located on the very south east point of the Big Island the Kapoho tidepools is so well worth coming to.
We're a marine wild life sanctuary. NO fishing allowed, therefore our vast, deep or shallow tidepools are well stocked always with amazing schools of tropical fish and beatuiful Marine Sea Corals. Such a huge area, it takes a couple days at least to explore all the pools, and swimming, you just float or swim from pool to pool. These pools have easy access, are even safe for very small children, but for us old folks, just as safe. As long as you don't venture out past our volcanic shelf, which breaks up the incoming waves, therefore, the ocean "trickles" into the pools, especially at high tide. Just an amazing wonderful adventure.
We offer, huge open beam construction, all beams stained golden oak and varnished. We have White Pine ceilings and ceiling fans throughout every roomof the house and on the lanai. We have a towering cupala (cathedral ceilings) over our living room area. We supply movie channels, so you can sit at night, watch a movie in surround sound located in the cupala.
We have a wonderful open kitchen. Our dining room area has huge bay windows, and at least till October incredible views of our area, and the ocean. The house is actually over 4300 sq ft. upstairs and down, however we only use upstairs as our living area. Downstairs is strictly storage space, so, you'll never share our home with another family, as so many vacation homes in the area do.
There's three bedrooms, two baths. The master bedroom has a private bathroom and a nice jetted bathtub. We have tile floors in and out. Our custom hip roof design covers all the outside walkways, so you can walk 360 degrees around our home and never get a drop of rain on you. All bedrooms connect to our outside walkways, which lead to our star view terrace and lanai, where you can lay back on our comfy hammock or enjoy our BBQ. In addition, there's an ocean view from the back, wrap around kitchen deck.
We're fully furnished, there's a complete separate laundry room with washer dryer and washing basin upstairs. We have in awesome two car garage. Open beams, automatic garage door, and our gable roof design, which you can see in pics below, in front of our home, covers the back quarter of the garage. This was done so that when we come home at night, or day, and it's raining, you can drive into the garage, walk out the back door and walk upstairs without getting a drop on you! We have a very well thought out, handicap-friendly stairway leading up to the house, with easy stairs and handrails.
Our home is nicely landscaped, and we do have coconut trees, lots of them, on our property, as well as bananna trees, Papaya trees, and a beautiful garden.
Thanks for taking the time to discover our home in Vacationland. Please call or email. You won't be sorry. Oh, references of guests who have stayed at our home? Tell me how many you'd like. Not a singe guest since we started using our home three years ago, has told me I can't use them as a referral. My son and I build this home as my vacation retirement home, thus we've put a lot of love into this home. It's beautiful. Dedicated to my late Mother, Belle Doris Herzon, niece to the late artist Al Hirshfeld. Love you mom.
Aloha and Mahalo to all.
